Fi Agladious – Managing Director 

Fi started Strategic Analytics in March 2003 with co-founder Rod Horne and has over 30 years consulting experience.

He works extensively in many of Strategic Analytics’ eight platforms, particularly within rental, rotating equipment, oil & gas, food processing and water & wastewater – particularly for our private equity and Fortune 1000 clients.

After starting his career in engineering, Fi went on to spend 9 years as a VP in Mars & Co Consulting, working for companies in oil & gas, utilities, and food & beverage.

Fi achieved a First Class in Electronic Engineering from Cambridge University and an MBA from London Business School.

His key hobbies include football, going to the gym, learning Chinese, and travelling.

Rod Horne – Principal 

Rod co-founded Strategic Analytics in 2003 and has 24 years consulting experience.

As Principal of Strategic Analytics, Rod has led projects across a full range of consulting assignments from due diligence; working with management teams to define and set out strategic plans; delivering insights that address business critical issues facing our clients.

Rod’s industry experience spans Strategic Analytics’ eight platforms and engagements across North America, Europe and Latin America.

After starting his career in engineering, Rod subsequently worked in strategy consulting both for Mars and Co. and as an advisor to FMCG firms in the drinks industry. Away from the office, Rod spends his time managing a small holding, caring for his sons and, if time allows, playing tennis.

Education: Degree and masters in Engineering from University of Cambridge.

James Howard – Senior Consultant

James graduated from Leeds University before joining Strategic Analytics in 2014.

James works closely with rest of the senior team and specializes in data analysis and supporting the execution of projects for key private equity and industrial clients across all Strategic Analytics platforms – with a specific focus on the Water & Wastewater, Sensors & Automation and Food & Beverage platforms.

In his spare time, James participates in football and basketball while also enjoying running and relaxing at home.

Samad Mateen – Senior Consultant

Samad specializes in conducting and managing Strategic Analytics primary research across all global geographies and all platforms.  In these capacities Samad works with the senior management team, as well as many of Strategic Analytics’ private equity clients.

Samad joined Strategic Analytics in 2013 after having previously worked mainly in Business Development and Account Management across a number of sectors within the Swiss and German markets.

Samad is fluent in both German and English.

In his spare time, Samad enjoys going to the gym and spending time with his family and friends.

Ayman Kuzbari – Senior Consultant

After graduating from HEC Montreal with a MSc in International Economics, Ayman joined Strategic Analytics in 2016.  Ayman specializes in conducting primary research across Strategic Analytics’ 8 platforms and has developed extensive expertise undertaking commercial due diligence and strategic planning projects for key Private Equity and Industrial clients.

Husband and father of one, Ayman likes to spend time with his family in his spare time, reading, travelling, and walking his two dogs.

Sam Kettle – Consultant

Sam joined Strategic Analytics in 2018 after graduating from Durham University with a Masters Degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

Sam has developed extensive experience working on commercial due diligence and strategic review projects for Strategic Analytics' private equity clients across all key platforms. 

In his spare time, Sam enjoys socialising, travelling and playing tennis and squash.
